Overview
Located in the heart of the historic center of Trancoso, Casa do Padre is a testament to the rich history and culture of the region. The house dates back to the time of the Jesuits, who used it as housing for missionaries. When they left, a family took over the place and lent it to the priests who occasionally visited the region, hence the name it carries to this day.
The house also went through a period when it was the heart of the village’s parties and celebrations, bringing together some of Trancoso’s main characters!
Today, the place maintains the facade and charm of yesteryear, but its interior has been completely renovated, bringing an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality, where every detail reflects the essence of the lifestyle in Trancoso. The project is signed by Jacaré do Brasil.
Whether relaxing on the large terrace overlooking the Atlantic Forest and the sea, or exploring the Quadrado, guests will find themselves immersed in the timeless beauty of this charming refuge.

Festivals in Quadrado
On the 19th and 20th of January, the traditional festival of São Sebastião takes place in the Historic Square of Trancoso, where the natives celebrate the day of the saint to the sound of leather samba. The mast, postcard of the village, is changed in a big party. The same happens on days 2 and 3 of February when they celebrate the day of São Brás.Submit your review | |
